As intricate and detailed as the art form is, its place of production is usually quite humble, and it is the inherited talent, dedicated efforts and the sheer simplicity of the artisans that have kept the rustic art alive so far.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
1) Wipe jewellery with a dry cloth.2) Keep away from perfumes, water or any other liquid substance.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The artisan forms a clay core which is roughly the shape of the final cast image. This process defines what the final product will be. Next step is covering the clay core with a layer of wax which is composed of ingredients such as pure beeswax. When the wax solidifies, the artisan starts with shaping and carving the mould in all of its finer details of designs and decorations. Again, a layer of clay is applied to it which takes the negative form of the wax. Drain ducts are left for the wax, which melts away when the clay is cooked which shows the impeccable design and process of Dhokra art. The wax is then replaced with Brass which hardens between the core and the inner surface of the mould. The metal takes the same shape as the wax. Here, the manufacturing process does not stop here, the artisans give their final touches and polish as desired.Let customers speak for us

Wish you would take care to check the quality of each piece of the bought set and not send chipped mugs. Out of the set of six, one was broken and one chipped one ( both of which were replaced immediately thanks!) ans one other had rough edges on the mouth of the mug ( which I did it want complain ..)
but i so love this set that I look forward to chai time each day!

Unique products but the hanging portion can be made sturdy
I have been looking for a unique and original key holder for at least a year and was delighted when searching online, to find this one. I work in the Fairtrade industry and was even more delighted to see that they work closely with local artisans who they seem to have a personal relationship with rather than an impersonal corporate one. When I discovered that it was made in India, I got in touch with Exclusive Lane who were very efficient and helpful in replying to my questions and explaining that they could send it to the U.K from India. This is not something I have done before, order an item to be posted all the way from India, but I was delighted to discover that it was possible. It was a much better price doing it this way, than ordering through a private seller in the U.K, even though there was a small cutoms charge to pay (which was easy to do). The product arrived about a 7-10 days later (I can't quite remember) and it is now up on my wall. As for the product, it is as the picture show. The wooden posts for keys could possibly be slightly thinner to allow easy of getting keys on and off but other than that I am very happy with my purchase and even more with the excellent efficiency and service behind the order itself.
