Ambling amidst the paths of the east, my eyes witnessed with ease, a sensational ritual that followed just before the dusk could seize. A village that embellished beauty in its veins had the breeze set for everything that was to be acclaimed. Where the villagers held hands and the women carried baskets: all danced in the shadows of the vines, as it was the wait of the hymn that dripped the chaos of the night. With the majestic fish plopping, the guardian owls drooping, the woman of court danced and the children played instruments in sheer delight as it was the welcoming of the utterly beautiful sunshine. As the astonishing deer and the ancestral elephant stood, the rays shed and covered the entire scenery which was pleasant enough to satisfy the senses and embellish the worthwhile. It was resplendence of its kind which wasn't meant to be-wither with time, a village that enchanted glory so alluring enriched the eternities of its own chime and relinquished elegance with utmost sublime.

Lost-wax casting technique is still used for non-ferrous metal casting in Dhokra Art. Solid casting and hollow casting are the two different ways in which lost wax casting can be done. The solid casting is predominantly done in Southern India and uses a solid piece of wax to create mould while, in hollow casting clay core is used which is more traditional and it is more common in Central and Eastern India. Before Any Artisan Sits To Make The Figure, He Prays For Guidance From Tristram (son Of Lord Vishwakarma), Said To Be An Expert In Metal Alloys. In the dawn of the day, the artisans wake up to form the clay core which is roughly the shape of the final cast image. This process defines what our product will be. The Artisans with all of his concentration while sitting in the Eastern part of India forms it. Next step is covering the clay core with a layer of wax which is composed of ingredients which are very difficult to find in forests of the village, these are pure beeswax, resin from the tree Damara Orientalis, and nut oil. When the wax solidifies, in the dawn of the day artisans starts with shaping and carving the mould in all of its finer details of design and decorations. Then again, a layer of clay is applied to it which takes the negative form of the wax. Drain ducts are left for the wax, which melts away when the clay is cooked this shows the impeccable design and process of dhokra art. The wax is then replaced with Brass; it hardens between the core and the inner surface of the mould. The metal takes the same shape as the wax. Here the manufacturing process doesn’t stop, then the artisans give his/her finer touches and polish it as desired.
It was on the advice of our spiritual guru that we (my wife and I) went looking for an aroma diffuser. “Diffusing essential oil helps reduce your stress and anxiety, it boosts the immune system apart from improving respiratory health and boosting memory as well as concentration,” Major (retd) Dalbir Singh who is a Reiki grandmaster, Gaidon master and a practicing master of 18 other spiritual sciences had told us.
The search, however, wasn’t as easy as we had thought it would be. With a trip to a marketplace, mall or state emporia where one could be spoilt for choice ruled out due to Covid-19, we turned our attention on the ever-dependent and ever-friendly google. And found that we were wrong. The search engine gave us loads and tonnes of options, almost all of them in ceramic – in different sizes, designs and colours. We kept website-hopping, shortlisting a few on the way.
The ones we finalised were based on how the aroma diffuser would merge with our study where we intended keeping it, its design and of course, its price. Not to forget, we didn’t want any run-of-the-mill stuff. After much deliberation and discussions, we ended up finalising the Ceramic Gas Stove Brewing Aroma Diffuser from Studio Pottery (Rs 1199) which we considered ourselves lucky to have come across on https://exclusivelane.com/. This one just looked superb – as a small hearth where you can place a tealight and a beautiful little kettle above it in which one can pour the essential oil. Masterpiece creation! We bought it without even thinking twice.
Must add here for people reading this: The website also sells tableware, drinkware, kitchen storage items, desk accessories, vases, showpieces, idols pots and planters, jewellery, lighting and many other products which you are unlikely to find anywhere – in exclusive and never-seen designs and shapes. This means they are exclusive for you. And more importantly, these products do not burn a hole in your pocket!
Another worth a mention point here is that the website, www.exclusivelane.com, is extremely easy to navigate and buying anything just a cakewalk. You can also zoom into the product to see it closely, from the many options available, including one which compares it with a product you are likely to have at home. In our case, our aroma diffuser was compared with a one litre water bottle. This helps you give an idea on how would it look where you want to place it.
These days they are offering some discounts on products. So, don’t wait, log in to www.exclusivelane.com and join the exclusive group.

I have been looking for a unique and original key holder for at least a year and was delighted when searching online, to find this one. I work in the Fairtrade industry and was even more delighted to see that they work closely with local artisans who they seem to have a personal relationship with rather than an impersonal corporate one. When I discovered that it was made in India, I got in touch with Exclusive Lane who were very efficient and helpful in replying to my questions and explaining that they could send it to the U.K from India. This is not something I have done before, order an item to be posted all the way from India, but I was delighted to discover that it was possible. It was a much better price doing it this way, than ordering through a private seller in the U.K, even though there was a small cutoms charge to pay (which was easy to do). The product arrived about a 7-10 days later (I can't quite remember) and it is now up on my wall. As for the product, it is as the picture show. The wooden posts for keys could possibly be slightly thinner to allow easy of getting keys on and off but other than that I am very happy with my purchase and even more with the excellent efficiency and service behind the order itself.
Happy with the product
